We’ve run into this a few times.
When creating a game using orbit camera, or a static camera, you basically can’t use effects at all.
For example, in my Perfect Simplicity submission, the camera starts quite far away in order to get the entire game board in the screen. As a result, I cannot use any effects in my game. It really detracts from the user experience.
I understand having a sensible default for performance reasons, but I would like a way to override this for gameplay crucial effects.
