Directional controls

Is there a way to use the directional controls to do something other than move the player?
Ideally, I want to hide the player avatars and have the players control other objects.

Currently you can only get the button inputs, not the directional inputs, although if that is something you’d like to be available through the Lua then make sure to add a feature request for it! -
Depending on what it is you’re making, a potential workaround others have used might be to have your player exist somewhere off-camera, and capture their movement and translate that to movement of the other object.

Yes, I was starting to think about needing some form of giant d-pad the character walks over to detect direction.
