This will allow you to become “invincible” or at least not take damage when you grab the pickup. You can also add an additional script to the players this will have a knock-back effect on any other player when they run into your radius and you have the pickup equipped. It reuses the existing pickup spawner script and you will need the health script to actually be able to see the invincibility work. It doesn’t stop critical damage that causes you to die e.g. falling off the level.
Go to the community tab and search “InvincibilityTestPackage" and “Health” for test purposes.
Install the package(s)
Drag the Invincibilty Coin template into the world
Drag the playerHealth onto the Player entity template
To use the Knockback effect, drag the playerKnockback onto the Player entity template
I recommend either installing a gun package or some sort of damage trap to see that you’re invincible with the pickup.
There are a few properties that can be tweaked for the invincibility itself:
invincibilityLifetime = How long the invincibility works.
invincibleSound = Change the sound that occurs when you have the pickup equipped.
invincibleEffect = Change the effect that occurs when you have the pickup equipped.
You can also tweak the knockback effect with these properties:
effectRadius = Radius of where the other players can be knocked back
upwardKnockback = How far the launch effect will push the other player up.
sidewayKnockback = How far the launch effect will push the other player back.
