Rotation Bug - New findings (100% replication)

Describe the bug:
I have figured out how to replicate the rotation bug 100% of the time.

How do you cause this bug?
Create a simple script that switches from action cam to orbit. (On button press, switch camera type 1/2)
Start the game, go into first person view (page up) and then hit your button to switch to orbit cam. You will be locked into place unable to move your character rotation.
Now, press the button again to switch back to action cam. Zoom out so that you’re in third person action cam.
Now switch back to orbit, you can now rotate your character freely.

I’ve seen this bug happen in games without an orbit camera. Normal action camera shooter blueprints. So it probably has to do with the camera changing during lobby end/round start and results end/lobby start, like you mentioned in the Discord.

Can you provide a video or link to the game that’s happening in, with action cam?

I don’t know how to exactly recreate it, so no. But recently it happened when Slaying and I were testing my Ability Package in a newly created TDM Blueprint with Action Cam, and were trying to use our Abilities as the lobby was ending/round was starting. When the round started, my player was stuck with the rotation bug, but Slaying’s player was moving fine.

That might be the bug you get occasionally in the editor where you have to double tab the crouch button to exit it. Your player physically gets stuck in the floor.

no, the player was able to move, the looking and aiming was buggy like it happens with the bug

also that stuck in the floor bug hasn’t happened with me

@Dry_Coast we have identified this issue and a fix is on it’s way in the near future (sadly not the next patch, but not too long!) Thanks for the report, this one has been rattling around for ages!
