Things to reflect object / character status in game with a color of choice.
from the white flash when something is hit to dissolving / disintegration fx.
the set of materials could implement dynamic control of some fx you can temporally use in place of the original material of a mesh.
This gives the possibility for every object to have for instance:
- a fully gold version.
- translucent / ghost / bubble etc.
- fully glowing in a speficied color.
I could come up with tons of examples but it’s quite pointless if this doesn’t get implemented.
I really wonder why crayta doesn’t make use of the many possibilities of ue4 material instances leaving out all this potential.
